21 Weeks, Heartburn, and a Special Thank You..

Yesterday marked my 21st week of pregnacy! My little Axel is kicking up a storm and I am starting to see some patterns in his wake and sleep cycles. I've been feeling him move around for the past 2 weeks now. I felt a little fluttering before, but now I'm really feeling those kicks and jabs. He seems to be most active if I drink Orange Juice, and around 6:45pm and 11:30pm. This morning he even woke me up with his kicks! It's so special being able to FEEL him, and know that he's okay. I feel like all his little movements are his way of saying "hi Mom..". (I know that's not really what's going on, but I like to think of it that way..).

I have been soooo lucky in this pregnancy. I never got morning sickness (aside of a little nausea and bloating in the beginning) and my tummy is (thus far) growing straight out instead of sideways, so I don't feel like a whale (yet). I guess I can't have it TOO easy though because a few nights ago I was hit with some horrible heartburn and it still hasn't gone away. Tum-t-tum-tums aren't doing a THING. I really hope it goes away. There, I'm finished complaining for the day.

My last note is a special Thank You to my dear Sister-in-Law Shalyse. Shalyse is Jordans oldest sister, and has the most adorable little girl in the entire world! Ever since I can remember Shalyse has always been smiling and laughing and so kind hearted. Today I received a letter in the mail from her, for no special reason.. just a letter that said some of the sweetest things I have heard in a long time. It actually made me cry! So, Shalyse.. Thank you so much for thinking of me, and for your kind words. They mean so much, you really have no idea! Watch your mailbox in the coming weeks :) I love you!

Axel's Closet...Somebody Stop Me!

We're all naturally drawn to baby clothes right? I mean, they're just too cute! Now that Axel is officially Axel, I can't stop thinking about my darling Son! I also can't keep my mind or hands off his future wardrobe! I've found some adorable items (all on sale) and I have to show them off. So here is Axel's closet thus far..

These are my latest finds and I can't wait to put them on him! The jeans are super soft on the inside, and the sweater is really soft too.

Grandma Ripp got him this adorable outfit at the GAP the other day! Thanks Mom!

I'm Horrible at Blogging..

This is pretty much why I never started a blog before. I'm great a facebook stalking, checking my email, facebook stalking some more, filling up online shopping carts and never actually buying anything, facebook stalking, and babycenter.com, but I am horrible at keeping this blog up-to-date. Sorry!

Anyways, a LOT has happened in the last 4 weeks! For starters, I went down to Utah for a couple days and took a permanent cosmetics course. It was kinda gross, kind of weird, but pretty cool. So, now I am certified to tattoo eyebrows, eyeliner or lip liner and color on a persons face. Pretty crazy huh! I've already had a few clients at Northstar Aesthetics and it's all gone really well! I thought it would be a lot scarier to do these procedures, but it's really not too bad.

I went straight from Utah to Idaho and hopped in the car with Jordan, Holly, and Creed and we all drove up to Seattle for Ryan and Paige's wedding! Jordan totally called it, and it rained pretty much the entire time we were there, and he rubbed it in all of our faces! (For some reason, he decided ahead of time that he hates Seattle). The wedding however, what beautiful. Ryan and Paige looked amazing, and it was great to see the whole family!

When we got back to Rexburg, we were all moved in to our brand new apartment! Actually, Jordan moved all of our things while I was in Utah, and we didn't really PACK anything, so the place was a mess... but bless his heart for moving EVERYTHING all by himself. We hvae a LOT of stuff! While Jordan tended to a week of finals, I went back to work, and also worked on organizing our new place. We LOVE it here! We were able to get an amazing steal of a deal on a great furniture set and I will be very happy to live here for the next two years. Compared to our previous basement apartment it is a castle! We have tons of light, it doesn't smell like chicken soup stock, and we have a 2nd bedroom. We feel so lucky!

Here's our kitchen..

Our living room with our spiffy new furniture :)

And.. the bedroom.. it all looks kind of boring because we haven't put any pictures on the walls or anything, but we'll get there..

In other news, I had my 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday (the 20th) and we found out we're having a BOY!!! Our little Axel! We're still working on a middle name. Jordan suggested Borat haha, but that will never happen. We've got a couple good ones in mind though.. we'll see. He is sooo adorable and I am so in love with him already! I'm pretty sure he looks like his daddy, but maybe he'll have his mommys SOMETHING. Jordan was adorable when he was younger though so I'm fine if Axel looks just like him. Here's our little guy..

He's sucking his fingers in this picture! It was sooooo cute to see him on the ultrasound. Laurie said that Jordan did the same thing when he was little. Too cute!

Proof, we're having a boy..

Jordan couldn't make it to the ultrasound because it was the first day of his Spring Semester, so I had to come up with a clever way to surprise him. I met up with him on campus and flashed him my belly when we got close to each other. I wish I was paying more attention to all the students faces as they walked by. Most of them have probably never seen a girls bare stomach haha. He was really surprised though, it was adorable.

Thats basically all the news we have for now.. Hopefully I'll get better at keeping this thing current from now on.
